Is Your Partner Addicted to Secondlife?

Posted by: chooseyourvice on: September 28, 2008

I realized after writing my page on being addicted to Secondlife, alot of people were searching the wordpress engine on “Husband addicted to Secondlife.” So I am creating a post for this subject.  Let me first say, I am not an expert on Secondlife, and nothing in this post is based on facts that I have found. Secondlife is a virtual community where people from all over the world come together to explore, communicate, design, and build. Alot of people use this game for sexual exploration or to fufill their sexual needs. I know from personal experience it is easy to become addicted to Secondlife, and not know what to do, but I do know that if you are addicted to a game, a drink, anything, that is because something is bringing you back. And In the case of your partner playing SL ( short term for Secondlife) He or she might be invovled in another relationship online, Or into sexual fantasies they are to afraid to reveal to their real life partners. If I was in a relationship, and my partner was spending a large amount of time on SL, I would consider the possibility of them having an online relationship with another person. If infact you know this is not the case, and they have created or designed a thriving buisness on SL that makes a real life income, you may want to consider explaining to your partner about limiting your hours as if SL were an office. Creating a schedule where they would only work from 9 to 5. There are many ways people could become addicted to SL, no matter what reason or way, the main focus is to get that person to first cut back on their time from the computer, and to show them Real life has more to offer then spending hours in a pixel world. – Feel free to comment this with questions, I would be happy to answer you back.
